This is a private reference site, not a Summit County or Utah government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the government office that controls the record or custody system.
Official Offices and Records
The right contact depends on whether the person was held in the county jail, remains under state corrections supervision, or has a pending court matter. The jail and Sheriff's Administrative Division use different public addresses, so confirm the correct counter before traveling.
Summit County Jail
Summit County Jail6300 Justice Center Road
Park City, UT 84098
Main line: 435-615-3723
The jail is the first telephone contact for a current county custody or recent-release check. Give the person's full name and booking number if known, then ask whether custody ended, transferred, or continued under another status. A call may provide a current lead, but a written record request is the better route when documentary proof is needed.
Sheriff Records Administration
Summit County Sheriff's Office6138 Paintbrush Road
Park City, UT 84098
Records: 435-615-3501
Fax: 435-608-4361
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Submit a jail booking, release, custody-history, or legally releasable image request through the Summit County NextRequest portal. Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act, or GRAMA, controls access, fees, classification, response, and appeal procedures. The division can route questions about which office maintains a record.

UDC handles state prison records, while Region 3 serves Summit County state probation and parole cases. The Board controls parole decisions and sentence termination. These offices do not serve as an archive for ordinary county-jail releases.
Use these routes to narrow the request before contacting an office:
- For a named released person or county release record, begin with the Summit County released-inmate search and records path.
- For state supervision after release, consult Post-Release Supervision.
- For same-day activity, use the alternatives on the 24-Hour Releases page because Summit County publishes no official released-person feed.
- For timing or an alert, review the Release Date Lookup and VINE Inmate Check.
- For county facility details, open the Summit County Jail page; for a sentenced state prisoner, use the UDC facility and search page.
- For a federal or immigration matter, use the official Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator. Neither system is a Summit County jail record.
